Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 13 [FINAL]: Open Ending?

The finale wastes no time showing us what Zero has become...

The finale wastes no time showing us what Zero has become...

Katt: It took a couple of days of waiting, a search around the ‘net, and my computer crashing in the midst of watching the episode for me to finally witness the ending of Vampire Knight Guity. I’ll save my final opinion for later and start thing off where the last episode left off: what the hell is up with Zero? The episode wastes no time in showing us Zero’s transformed state, which pretty much consists of plain ol’ Zero with vines consuming his arm/the Bloody Rose. This state makes him more powerful than before–as is shown by how easily he destroys the level Es and wounds Rido–and also less in control, it seems, by the fact that the night class students have to dodge to avoid being injured themselves. But wait… wounds Rido? Is the final battle over already…?

I haven’t watched the episode yet but OPEN ENDING?! Noooooo…. T___T Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it sounds…

    • Katt 6:22 am on January 3, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I wouldn’t call it bad. Just… not what one would hope for from the supposed end of a series. It would be like chapter 46 of the manga being called the ending–good in terms of plot and characters and all that, bad as an ending.

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 12: Badass Points All Around!

The final battle has begun! Who will come out the hero?

The final battle has begun. Who will come out the hero? (I hope we're all clear on the villain.)

Katt: Excellent! A sub of Vampire Knight Guilty 12 came out before Christmas! This means that I won’t have to work on blogging while family is being noisy around me, hahaha. Plus, we get to see how the anime is progressing sooner. And word on the street is that the anime will end differently than the most recent manga chapter has–truth, rumour? We might only find out next week, but let’s see what’s going on now…

Again, awesome review!! I am looking forward to see if the anime is courageous enough to aim for an anime ending with their own pick between Zero/Yuuki and Kaname/Yuuki. GO ZEKI!! I don’t want them to delay the conclusion any longer. The last episode will definitely be fantastic. Bravo!

    • Katt 5:54 am on December 25, 2008 Permalink | Reply

      Thank you! =D
I’m inclined to think that the anime is going to go for it, picking either Kaname or Zero (hopefully Zero!). The anime ends here while the manga is still ongoing, so it only makes sense that they will have an absolute conclusion in the next episode. I am super super eager to find out what that conclusion will be!

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 11: Time for a Tearjerker

everyone, please make sure your siblings know that you love them.

Public service announcement: everyone, please make sure your siblings know that you love them.

Katt: Ah, I cannot think of a better way to spend the morning after my final exam of the semester than sitting and catching up on anime. And I have to say that I’m excited for this one! As we recall from the previous episode, things a great battle is approaching at Cross Academy—so is this where we get to the action? The opening shows Yuuki staring at a gun and recalling the promise she made to Zero to kill him when he went beyond help. Then, the scene flashes to Kaname; does this say something about who Yuuki is prioritizing? I wonder. This episode is called “A Couple’s Fate”.

Yay for Rima/Shiki! Nice review like always TZM. :) I am expecting the last two episodes to be awesome as well. I just need to watch this one first. :P

    • Katt 7:10 am on December 19, 2008 Permalink | Reply

When you watch it, you will definitely adore the Shiki/Rima scene, hahaha. Thanks Minnie! I need to figure out why the fond on this entry is so big, though, and fix it. XD

    • Minnie 12:11 pm on December 19, 2008 Permalink | Reply

The font looks fine to me. Maybe it’s your screen resolution or something? Or have you fixed it by now? :P

    • Katt 5:55 pm on December 20, 2008 Permalink | Reply

I fixed it, hahaha. XD I’ve been writing my entries in Word and then copy-pasting them into the entry box, so the format screws up; I think I’ll just write them straight into the entry box from here on out.

    • Minnie 6:56 pm on December 20, 2008 Permalink | Reply

      Ric and Angel does that too and it screws up a lot. I don’t know if this helps or not but there’s a button near the font color button that copies from Word. XD I hope that helps. But I write them straight into the entry myself. ^^;;

    • Katt 5:05 pm on December 21, 2008 Permalink | Reply

Yeah, I think I’m going to just stick to writing straight into the entry. It worked well with my VK manga entry. Even if it’ll involve more window-switching during episodes, it’ll be way less of a hassle, ha ha.
(And if I’m being honest, I don’t know where the font color button is. I change font color using html. XD)

    • Minnie 10:45 pm on December 21, 2008 Permalink | Reply

      Okay. That’s fine then. Oh. XD To get to the font button, you click on that button to the far right with all the colors. After you click that, it opens the second half of the toolbox. ^^;;

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 10: Get to the Action, Already!

A visitor Zero would rather not see, with a message he'd rather not hear.

A visitor Zero would rather not see, with a message he'd rather not hear.

Katt: Hi everyone! For the first time, I am taking over Minnie’s review of Vampire Knight Guity; I hope that I can do it justice. As we recall, the last couple of episodes have shown a busy night for vampires! Returned memories, revivals, and angst, oh my! Now it’s morning, and Yuuki is getting her first taste of a couple of vampire traits: the pain of sunlight and her ability to identify people by their blood’s scent. She also has a feeling that something ominous is coming, and it looks like Chairman Cross is feeling the same way… Evacuate the day students, something bad is about to go down!

Long and in-depth summary. :) I am caught up on the manga as well. Do you suppose that they will make an anime-original ending?

I’m glad to see you take over for Minnie by the way. You are both incredible writers.

    • Katt 7:24 pm on December 10, 2008 Permalink | Reply

I’m wondering if they will, though it looks like the anime and manga paths are converging. The one part of the plot that looks like it -might- is what happens to Ichiru…maybe. We’ll probably find out about that next episode, at least.

Great to hear that you don’t mind the change. =) I’m flattered! I know that Minnie writes great entries, so I’m trying to keep the quality up there, ha ha.

      Oh shucks thanks Cindy!

Awesome review TZM! Very detailed. :)

Lol, I love the way they jumping to every character scene, it look really serious and that is what I love! Cause it give you the atmosphere of different feeling and the situation that there is not about only one person who is having this problem, but for eveyone.

Funny to see Aidou running after Yuuki and all, but he still kept being by her side like he was with Kaname. I wonder what’s really make him want to stay by Yuuki’s side. Is it because of Kaname? Or because he’s job to be and serve the pureblood? And I can’t wait to see Zero out of his prison xD!

Now, everything is ready for an action episode. God, I can’t wait to see if they all are going to fight XD! (cause I haven’t read the manga, scared to be spoiled)

For the change… you both are great writers so it doesn’t mind for me! ^-^! (sorry for the long comment o.O!)

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 9: Family Problems Galore~

I am pretty sure this is why Rido does get invited to family reunions...

I am pretty sure this is why Rido doesn't get invited to family reunions...

Minnie: Hello everybody! It is Minnie once again with your weekly dose of Vampire Knight Guilty. As much as I love last episode, I did not think it will be subbed so quickly this week! As always, we need some vampires in our life right? Especially after watching that delicious Twilight movie and its hunk Edward Cullen! Oh my! Please ignore my fangirl like always and read on to see what our lovely vampire bishies are up to…

I totally agree! All the flashbacks, information that was given to us was excuted very well! It was all filled with, to me, non-stop action…or leading up to the action.
Either way this episode gave me more goosebumps then the last 2 episodes, Yuuki awakening, Shiki turning into Rido, Rido arriving, Rima fighting, etc.
Being a ZeroxYuuki fan that I am, the really sad part(s) in this episode was Zero turning his gun on Yuuki, and him turning into a level E D: T___T
And then Zero’s hunter teacher, forgot his name, forcing him to choose when he can’t even think straight just broke my already torn heart D: T___T

But the Chairman was actually serious right now…
I can’t wait for episode 10 now. I’m soo excited to see the whole confrontation between Yuuki, Rido, and Zero!!

    • Minnie 8:17 pm on December 4, 2008 Permalink | Reply

My little sister complain that this episode isn’t as action packed as the last one but I disagree. I think the buildup and the flashbacks are very effective and adds a whole lot more the anime as a whole.

This episode gave me the goosebumps too. It’s just so dramatic and explains so much. :) And, yes, I like you, lean more on Yuuki/Zero rather than Yuuki/Kaname and things are not looking good for our side atm.

I’m pretty sure Yagari has his reasons. But yeah, Zero is always the victim around here. I can’t wait for the next episode too. :)

    • Mimiko ♥ 10:44 am on December 10, 2008 Permalink | Reply

Finally we got to see their past and what’s going on! I wasn’t really that surprise that this point but…

Kaname.. her great great great… grandfather? I agree I didn’t see that coming. Now my YuukixKaname totally broke, and it would be YuukixZero left, which doesn’t seem to go anywhere any further. Sad, but I don’t hope this anime would be ending like School Days! Cause it just made me go that vision now!

    • Minnie 4:32 pm on December 10, 2008 Permalink | Reply

Oh yes. The Kaname thing blew me away. Yuuki/Kaname definitely has a higher chance than Yuuki/Zero IMO no matter how they are related. Yuuki and Kaname’s feelings are mutual. Yuuki’s feelings for Zero is iffy and Zero has a death flag all over him. I also hope it won’t end like School Days. Actually, I don’t want any anime to end like School Days… period. XD

    • Mimiko ♥ 1:04 pm on December 14, 2008 Permalink | Reply

haha… School Days is the most historical ending that ever happen to the main character xD!

True, we don’t want to see a bad ending for a least this series, but I it seem to be hint for bad ending to Kaname.

Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 8~ Solo?

Minnie: Welcome all to the anime world of vampires! This week, thanks to Thanksgiving Break (in America) I figure, Vampire Knight Guilty sub is out sooner than usual. Saime is being awfully busy as always and leaving me to do all the work with VK Guilty. I don’t mind though since I enjoy solos. After such a dramatic cliffy last week with Kaname and Yuuki versus Zero, we are back with a new episode to see how everything unfolds between the three. The episode doesn’t disappoint as it continues exactly where we left off last episode… Yuuki and Kaname are siblings?!
