Kemono no Souja Erin Episode 9 & 10: Kitties and Cows and Bees, Oh My!

    kemono9-1

    ...bees? BEEEEEEES! D=

Katt: When we last left off in Kemono no Souja Erin, Erin was acknowledging that her life had now reached a point of significant change. She hadn’t a clue what that change would be or how she would go about dealing with it, but there would be change. While she muddles over this decision, her only company is the flatulent beekeeper Joun…and bees. Squillions of beeeeees! Shudder. Deep breath. Okay, let’s get through this and focus on how Erin is growing through this episode, not how…there are…swarms of bees… S-Scary.

I liked the episode very much too, and like you eagerly awaits episode 11.

One question, do you think the cloaked person is one of the mist people sent to find Eirn?

Kemono no Souja Erin Episode 8

It's a big world out there for our little heroine.

Katt: I am back for Kemono no Souja Erin this week~ Hmph, Minnie got the fun of the dramatic episode and now I get the calm after the storm? How cheap, hahaha. Still, this is a lovely series and I am happy to blog even the less dramatic episodes because, well, they are still dramatic. Particularly when you consider that in this episode Erin will be reacting to the horrible occurrence of episode seven…

Winter Mid-Season Recognition Countdown: Steve’s Biasness at its Best. Co

Steve is here with your mid-season review! Be happy!

Steve is here with your mid-season review! Be happy!

Steve: Hello. This is Steve with your mid-season review. I would like to take a moment to say that I beat Minnie at posting for once. Anyways, I am doing this to increase my post counts to state what I think of this sleepy Winter season. Despite the Winter Season having a lot of uninteresting shows, there are a couple of worthy mentions. Warning: Steve biasness is extremely high. Proceed with caution.

      What a pretty picture of Mikuru. <3 We all know you’re a suck up Steve. There’s no need to deny it. XD Your list is interesting. ^^ Nice choices. Now, I’m tempted to copy your style for my entry but I’ll stick with mine for now. ^^;;

You can copy my style if you want Minnie. I am not the owner of that style. I want to see your mid-season post soon. :)

Kemono No Souja Erin Episode 7: Good Bye.

Symbolism is abundant in this anime. Forgive me. This episode is so intense that I do not wish to spoil anyone with a real screen shot.

Minnie: Disappointed to see me blogging Kemono instead? I’m sorry. For a few days, Katt will be out of town. I am not allowed to reveal the details as to where she has gone to since it’s none of my business (don’t worry, she’s not doing any illegal, at least I hope not… her friends are there). The last episode of Kemono is an emotional one and it really pulls at my heartstrings. What will happen to Erin now that her mother Soyon is gone? Read on to find out.

The storytelling is superb… I hope someone takes care of Erin. Maybe the two thieves who were around or the miri-village person.

I have a feeling that the Touda will become Erin’s new mom. o___O Thanks for the comment!

love the ideas in this anime, hope it continues to be subbed.

Same here. This anime is too good to not be subbed.

It was a very sad episode :( I posted a phototribute to Soyon…

Winged beasts will help Erin :)

Yes, very sad and dramatic episode indeed. I was stunned. I was literally staring at the screen for a bit. I need to check out your post then Kitsune~

I hope someone helps Erin. :( Poor girl.

Probably not the best thing to say, but I was actually laughing through most of the episode because it was nearly 100% predictable, and because of the obvious futility of Erin’s actions. The only thing I didn’t predict was the appearance of the theif brothers and the scene in the beginning.

Kemono no Souja Erin Episode 6: The Dreaded, Yet Inevitable, Happens

It was only a matter of time...

It was only a matter of time...

Katt: First Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou provided an episode full of drama, and now Kemono no Souja Erin has done the same. I have gone from thinking, “Ugh, I don’t feel like blogging,” to, “Oh man, I hope others have watched this episode so I can discuss it!” So someone had better converse with me about this episode! But, uh, first I guess I should write up my entry, right?

I enjoyed this episode :) You did an excellent job at describing the events :) This episode contained some other latent content as well though, as I indicated in my post :)

Ooh, did you? I will definitely check your post out, then. =3 All of the writing I’d done in English classes this past week kept me from analyzing things in more detail, hahaha!

“She seems to find amusement in lots of Erin’s questions, including the way that she words the classic “Where do babies come from?” inquiry: “Was I hatched in your tummy? Turning round and round, slowly growing up?” Oh, Erin.”

      –> :) Exactly. Erin’s so cute~~
This episode was quite sad, for me, though. :( It really seemed like Soyon was saying goodbye…

      • Katt 9:29 am on February 23, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Erin’s adorable and tough together, which makes her awesome!

It really was a sad episode, though I do tend to find sad episodes good episodes. XD I wonder how long it will be before we see Soyon again…

        • Minnie 10:22 am on February 23, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Sad episodes are the BEST episodes. XD I can’t believe it took me so long to finally watch it and at the expense of skipping class thanks to some car problems. ^^;; In any case, again, I agree with TZM on the tough+adorable= an awesome main character in Erin. ^_^ I can’t wait for the next episode!

Kemono no Souja Erin Episode 5: “I don’t want that!”

    Oh no you don't!

    Oh no you don't!

Katt: Mondays are horrible days, particularly because they are my longest schooldays that also start the earliest. This Monday, however, isn’t so bad because I am staying home sick. A not-so-bad cold is better than Monday at school. Plus, this means I get to watch and blog Kemono no Souja Erin on time (while I should be studying)!

There is a difference between promotion and survival. Erin realized that she was immature. It takes time to change the system – the time is not right yet.

    • Katt 6:44 pm on February 19, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I agree that Erin still needs time before she can break from this cycle. She is still young and has lots to learn before she can hope to change anything. My critique was aimed more toward Soyon, although I can see how it would have come off like I was addressing Erin…whoops.
