Remember kids, Never walk under bridges alone in the dark!

Richie: Hey guys, I’m back on the White Album wagon. I’ll be changing my blogging style a bit too, as my older one took a lot of time out of my schedule to complete. Anyway, we’re learning more about the Ogata siblings and about a certain character who has been neglected lately. What else can I say? Let’s start this review up~!

Munto Episode 6: “As Long As We Yearn For a Tomorrow, The Future Will Never Close.”

    I support these two. ^_^

    I support these two. ^_^

Minnie: Look at me! I’m on a blogging roll! Okay okay. I’ll give everyone a quick update on everyone on the team. Richie should be back with White Album this week. If not, I’m not blogging it because I’m dropping it off my blogging list. Katt is away at a friend’s house I believe. She should be back by Sunday/Monday (she has school after all). Taan is on an indefinite hiatus. Marissa will be back this week with Ride Back since she’s done with her midterms. Miken will blog a ToA entry and maybe a Reborn entry this weekend. As for Oni, his status is unknown and he’s probably going to be gone for a while. My secret advisor Ric is busy taking care of his sick mother and his college schedule for next year but he should be back with Gundam by Sunday. Duke will be here and not here like always. Steve and I are always here and on time. Lastly, our founder Koala aka Garrick will hopefully blog all his entries on a Saturday/Sunday like always. That’s the update! If anyone is interested in joining the blog or writing for Hey, Say, Anime, be sure to e-mail me! Hopefully, our next week will be more productive! Sorry for the long paragraph and please enjoy my Munto review!

Hmm was anyone bothered by how they switched from the original art style to the one KyoAni uses for their recent shows mid ep? I thought it was done as smoothly as they possibley could do a mid ep art style change and since I like both styles a lot I didn’t mind. However some people might think it’s jarring?

      • Minnie 8:59 pm on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I’m not bothered in the very least. I actually support it. :)

    • foomafoo 8:55 pm on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

      @Minnie, not at Munto.

Beware of having sooo many authors if you want to suffer handling their schedules like what you’re already doing XD.

@Munto, i think it really is jarring. It’s not visually stunning compared to Clannad which the people is expecting to look like.

      • Minnie 9:03 pm on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Hahahaha, thanks for saying that foomafoo! XD I remember asking the other bloggers on the team what the ups and downs of a team blog is and I’m the only one (surprise surprise) who said that I have to take care of everything and everyone as a downside. I guess that because I somehow take on the responsibility of a leader (everyone calls me a friendly dictator), I somehow have to handle other peoples’ schedules too. XD The nice thing though, even though some of them don’t know or even talk to each other, all of them talk to me and let me know what’s going on. Then, I tell everyone else what that person is doing. XD Sigh.

You’re right about Munto. It’s not as stunning as Clannad but I actually prefer Munto’s visual better because it’s so different from KyoAni’s other works. XD But that’s just me. ;)

ToraDora Episode 21: “No Matter What I Do, I Can’t Stop… Loving Ryuuji.”

    A hostage situation?!

    A hostage situation?!

Minnie: Thank goodness it’s a Friday! Even though my school week ends on Thursday, I’m happy to say that I still enjoy Friday’s as much as I do in high school! Anyways, this episode of Toradora is late by a date (it’s not me!) but it’s all good because Toradora is 4 episodes away from the end and it better have a nice ending. Will they squeeze another arc after this one or is the last one? Who knows! Read for the review~

Strangely enough, though I started out Taiga/Ryuuji, I’ve since shifted to supporting Ami/Ryuuji, to my own surprise. Ami is just turning out to be too interesting of a character, I can’t get enough of her. The rest of the characters are still great, but Ami is in a league of her own.

      • Minnie 2:31 pm on February 27, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I 100% agree with your opinion on Ami, nazarielle. :) I must say, ToraDora really does have one of the best main cast of characters this season and last season. I’m impressed. ^_^ Thanks for your comment!

I really really HATE Noto! He’s the one who started blabbing about nonsense… I was also rooting for Kihara but Noto is damn interfering…

For the main cast, Ami is rather concerned to Ryuuji but I don’t know if her slap to Minori could defend for that reason. Taiga is… I think she didn’t gave me an impression this episode because she seems resilient until she fell just to find the hair clip. Minori is… a hypocrite. She said if Ami saw her pretending nothing had happened but that was exactly what it was!!! If she wasn’t pretending, I doubt if she could speak to Ryuuji ever again.

Ryuuji is… I don’t what he’ll be doing now that Taiga had confessed XD. Poor Ryuuji, it’s raining dragons and tigers on his mind.

      • Minnie 8:32 pm on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Noto is pretty annoying. I wonder if in the novels, he had more screen time before this. His inclusion in the later episodes seem kind of off to me… like they force him into the party now for plot purposes… and that bothers me…

Minorin is a hypocrite but the more I see/hear her, the more I understand her. It’s an odd relationship with Minorin and I. First I like her. Then it move to dislike and then hate and now back to dislike. I don’t know where all this drama come from but at least the anime is executing it very well. I enjoy the changes.

Ryuuji is going to be confused for a couple of episodes and then end it with Ryuuji/Taiga? That’s my guess but ToraDora has been very unpredictable lately…

    • 7 11:41 am on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Toradora is awesome! I’m usually not a big fan of drama but this tips my boat! It’s just as what I’ve expected of a True Tears formation (perse, Two Guys and Three Girls)

I first started out with the Ryuuji/Minori and Taiga/Kitamura pairings. To find out that these pairings don’t look good the way they are now pains me, but at the same time intrigues me. If this continues, we’re only going to end up with one pair (Ryuuji/Taiga)! Now that’s interesting.

I’ve always been a big fan of Minori, but bleh.. I don’t know now. Then again, it’s not her fault.
At the same time, I’m beginning to take an interest in Ami’s intellect.

      • Minnie 8:37 pm on February 28, 2009 Permalink | Reply

I am actually a fan of drama anime. Most of them are on my blogging list. XD But anyways, this drama anime is on a league of its own. I mean, it doesn’t follow the stereotypical ones. It doesn’t follow the harem formula either even if it indeed IS a harem. I, like you 7, like the formation too.

Oh that’s interesting! I think I was a Minorin/Kitamura and Taiga/Ryuuji fan actually. XDDDDDDDDDD Now, I’m a Ami/Ryuuji fan with Taiga/Ryuuji in second place. I like the President with Kitamura too! I’m sad it didn’t work out to well… Anyways, I’m also intrigued like you. ^_^

Like I said above, for Minorin, I went from like like to dislike to hate to dislike. She’s in the dislike/neutral state with me right now. As for Ami, I love her since the beginning. XDDDD

Kemono No Souja Erin Episode 7: Good Bye.

Symbolism is abundant in this anime. Forgive me. This episode is so intense that I do not wish to spoil anyone with a real screen shot.

Minnie: Disappointed to see me blogging Kemono instead? I’m sorry. For a few days, Katt will be out of town. I am not allowed to reveal the details as to where she has gone to since it’s none of my business (don’t worry, she’s not doing any illegal, at least I hope not… her friends are there). The last episode of Kemono is an emotional one and it really pulls at my heartstrings. What will happen to Erin now that her mother Soyon is gone? Read on to find out.

The storytelling is superb… I hope someone takes care of Erin. Maybe the two thieves who were around or the miri-village person.

Yes, very sad and dramatic episode indeed. I was stunned. I was literally staring at the screen for a bit. I need to check out your post then Kitsune~

I hope someone helps Erin. :( Poor girl.

    • TAAN 3:04 am on March 4, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Probably not the best thing to say, but I was actually laughing through most of the episode because it was nearly 100% predictable, and because of the obvious futility of Erin’s actions. The only thing I didn’t predict was the appearance of the theif brothers and the scene in the beginning.

    What is this? Kitty Yell?

    What is this? Kitty Yell?

Steve: I am going to stay focus today and get two review done in one day. I have no idea how Minnie or Koala get so many done in a day but it is quite exhausting I must say. I salute those two. Akikan episode this week is perverted as usual. It tickles me in the right places, I hate to say. Please enjoy my straight out review for this week…
