Angel: Hey all, its little missy here, and my awesome debut~

Sorry for being so slow on starting to really being involved with the team. I hope I can make up for it with some cookies and a nice review. ^w^

Onto the yummy stuff~

The room is quiet, in contrast to the pounding downpour outside. Jin looks out the window while Nagi watches TV. She comments how it will rain hard for quite a while. The doorbell rings, and as Jun opens this door, he becomes terrified from seeing this apparently creepy and depressed man at his door. It’s no stranger but his friend, Daitetsu, our star comedian for the rest of this hilarious episode.

Daitetsu rests and dries off, but Jin can’t help but feel a tad envious over his friend’s nice and manly body, if I must say. XD

Daitetsu explains that he was heading home when he lost his keys; he couldn’t even try to get in by breaking any of the windows. Some neighbors and a police officer were suspicious, so he was brought to the station for interrogation. He feels dismayed that he looks like a criminal; in contrast, Jin is really jealous and seems to admire Daitetsu’s developed physique. It’s quite funny, since as the boys lament over their issues, Nagi seems to think they’re being foolish. Now, I remember the many times she has wished for a more developed body… ;P

Daitetsu is cold and sick, but Jin’s clothes do not fit him. Nagi remembers that the father’s clothes are in the closet. As Jin tries to find them, Nagi tries to help and unintentionally presses her chest up against Jin; as a result, the train of Daitetsu’s strange fantasies begins to take off, ahh~

Flashback time, featuring the scene at the maid café where Jin embarrassedly spurts out that Nagi is too cute for him to look at. Eh, more of Daitetsu’s fantasies of their incest or “forbidden love,” which I’d rather not discuss (being a total boobaphobe and all ^_^) but it is quite funny but soo out of character.

Back to reality, Daitetsu storms up and grabs Jin out of the room to talk to him alone. He confronts Jin about his feelings for Nagi, but Jin doesn’t quite understand. Daitetsu interrogates him, thinking that Nagi is Jin’s true sister; however, Jin is obviously bad at keeping his story straight. He becomes flustered and shifts his eyes, unbeknown to what is about to happen…

FALCON KICK!

FALCON KICK!

The AWESHUMEST part: Nagi comes flying out of nowhere and freakin’ kicks Jin right in the face. He’s slams into a door and is knocked unconscious. She swiftly lands, and turns to give the cutest chuckle ever. Words can not describe this total phenomenon, but basically, girls kick ass.

She talks fast to cover up whatever lies Jin has spilled, and offers Daitetsu to take a bath. She has prepared a set of clothes for him as well. As she speaks, she drags Jin’s body, even bumping his head onto the step bwaha~ and makes her escape into the kitchen. Daitetsu is sort of confused; regardless, he heads to the bathroom, opens the door, and turns face red when he sees panties and a bra hanging and drying on a rope overhead. Now, boys need to grow up, clothes don’t bite or anything.. 8D

Meanwhile in the kitchen, the pair argues about their false story. Nagi declares that she is entitled to do whatever she wants to do while living in Jin’s home. Unfortunately, Daitetsu overhears this, and the background slowly transforms into an eerie and wavy pool f darkness; aka, IT’S FANTASY TIME~

My goodness, he imagines Nagi as being an evil woman, and later as a dominatrix, forcing puppy-like Jin to succumb to her needs. XD

The scene flashes back to reality, where Nagi offers Daitetsu a huge bowl of rice. He is stunned by her “acting,” and for most of the episode, his eyes remain as black spots. I don’t know what this effect is called (since I’ve seen it a few times in other series), but it gives me the creeps since he seems so hollow and empty. Haha, what a great description for what he’s feeling during this episode since he is now torn and suspicious of the empty lies the two have fabricated. Gotta love him; also, I’m appreciative of the nice character development he received this episode. Before, I couldn’t even spell his name~ (Which is quite funny, with all of the lol action in Code Geass, I STILL cannot spell Shenixzel, Scheoizel, Schneziel, ah who the hell cares about him, getting distracted here as usual).

Jin, being soo naïve, misunderstands Daitetsu’s reluctance to eat and clarifies that she didn’t make the dinner. Nagi notices his suspicions, so she suggests to Jin for them to roleplay as siblings according to a show she has watched. Thus, she begins to scold him about a piece of food on his face (um, what kind of sister tries to teach manners to an unruly brother, anyways?). The two pretend to bicker, but Nagi gives off the wrong impression by getting too close to Jin. Daitetsu gradually turns red and yells. He then wonders if he should question or be involved in their delicate relationship. As he fidgets, he changes the subject, showing them a sketch of the tree sculpture. He realizes that it resembles Nagi a lot. The two are shocked and think that their secret is out, so Nagi rashly declares that she is indeed the Spirit of the Tree. Daitetsu misunderstands, and believes that she was simply a model for Jin’s work of art. He wonders if Jin ever finished it, but Jin is sorry that his friend went through so much trouble to get the tree. Daitetsu recalls how Jin met the Spirit when he was younger, and how he wanted to base his art off of it. He then admits that he stole the tree to foster Jin’s enthusiasm in art. A real touching scene between the boys, and the awesomeness rolls in again..

GIRLS KICK ASS, PART 2

GIRLS KICK ASS, PART 2

WITH AN UPPERCUT.

Nagi insanely punches, curses, and stomps on Daitetsu for stealing the tree. He tries to explain that it was going to be burned down anyways, so stealing it would be better. She figures that burning it would purify it. Thus, this starts the hilarious feud between them.

Nagi literally gives him nightmares by cursing misfortunes on him. Daitetsu, struggling in his sleep, hallucinates that she is about to attack him. Suddenly, he bursts and wakes up from his too realistic dream. Jin is absent, so he gets up to turn on the light. Daitetsu continues to be freaked out and runs out the house for his life, passing Jin, who was trying to fix the electricity outside. Jin is dumbfounded, and goes inside to find Nagi. He attempts to knock on her door, but opens it to discover that she left as well.

Daitetsu frantically runs in the pouring rain to the shrine in order to repent for his so called sin. He bows and pleads forgiveness, but thunder and lightning fester within the stormy sky. A bolt of sinister lightning impales the earth and churns the ground, blowing Daitetsu back. Nagi appears to be standing in front of a tall erect mound of earth, and she creepily whispers that the gods do not want his apologies. She approaches him, pats him on the head, calls him “Good boy,” and faints in his lap as Daitetsu remains stunned. Honestly, I thought this scene was awesome, and really showed a darker tone in Kannagi.

The next morning, Nagi is getting ready for school and has a slight cold. Jin questions where she was last night, but she claims she couldn’t remember. He grabs her by the hand, worrying that she was unconscious last night and had to be carried home by Daitetsu. The two conflict since Jin believes she is hiding something, as when she fell unconscious when holding the kittens. Her eyes change from innocent to pissed, and she breaks his hold of her. She tells him to shutup and learn his place as a mortal.

Walking together to school, Jin and Daitetsu discuss last night’s events. Jin has Nagi on his mind all day, and she only cares enough to mock him when they meet eyes. Daitetsu is disturbed today too, and he walks down the hall like Frankenstein for a while. XD; He also sulks while using the bathroom, which is especially funny imo.. XD; He becomes increasingly upset and wishes to confront Jin, but as he walks into the art room, he runs right into Nagi.

The scene shifts to the girls wandering aimlessly in the hallway. Tsugumi remembers overhearing a private conversation between Jin and Daitetsu but she couldn’t hear the details well. Of course, they fantasize about young boy love, and as they make their way into the Art Club, they walk into the middle of the quarrel between Nagi and Daitetsu. With their arms up, the two exclaim that they will not surrender to the other, and thus, this odd episode effectively ends in quite the cliffhanger.

Round 1, FIGHT.

Despite my constarnt complaining of this harem-like show, I do like it a lot. Kannagi really has some awesome and funny moments, and I can’t wait to see the next episode, entitled “Embarrassing School Comedy.” I’d like to see how the duel carries out as well. I do plan on backtracking to the other yummy episodes, so just ya’ll wait. ;3

Till next time, my lovelies.
